Things I loved in 2024

This was the best year; one of abundance. My main goal this year was: to be present at my wedding. It was, by far, the best experience of my life. I still can’t believe how my community showed up for Matt and I.

Aside from Wedding Szn, we jumped at the opportunity to travel widely. I went to West Africa for the first time, and was blown away by the sophistication and culture. It was also my first time in France and Spain for a perfect honeymoon adventure. Another huge highlight was taking Matt to Jamaica for the first time.

Here are a few things that made my year beyond special:

Listening

Chappell Roan was everything this year.

An extraordinary night of Palm Wine music at Zen Garden

Wondering why I went to grad school when I could have just listened to this podcast

Eating

Incredible lunches at La Table de Léo and The Buka

The hamachi ceviche at Yujiro

Everything I ate at Wilks Bay Resort

Another hugely successful spatchcock turkey at Thanksgiving

Reading

The Mountain and the Sea, Ray Nayler

Wilding, Isabella Tree

An incredible article about a portrait of Francis Williams

Doing

Lessons to sail a 420

Spectacular hikes in Grasslands National Park

Choosing beautiful pieces from Michael Dumontier & Neil Farber and Dee Barsy
